My daughter’s kindergarten class was having a fundraising that my wife was involved in, so she asked me to put something together for them to raffle off. The theme was “Reading” so we came up with this tree-shaped bookshelf idea. As it was a side project, I don’t have a lot of progress photos of it, but this is it in it’s rough state.

The finished shelf with some of the books that went along with the total package people were able to win. The wide base gives it excellent stability, and the laminated design of the shelves gives them a lot of strength.

I also made two small birds to go along with the bookshelf. This one is an Eastern Bluebird.

The second bird is a Goldfinch.
